Behavioral/Family Therapy
Oak Tree Developmental Center offers counseling services for children, teenagers and their families. Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LSCW) provide counseling services to children and their families who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. Pediatric social workers work closely with parents to solve issues at home or at school. During individual and family sessions, the social worker will address each child's individual needs and promote success and progress through feelings of positive encouragement and self-esteem. Our child behavioral therapists provide a safe environment where children and families feel supported and comfortable to ensure effective counseling services. Our child therapists will develop a treatment plan to help guide positive changes. Treatment approaches include, Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.
Our goal is help young children and teenagers increase self-esteem and coping skills in order to be successful in stressful situations, and to improve positive interactions with peers and adults.
